I like to interview members of a cross-functional team on the Quality during Design Podcast. They're all collected in Season 3, or on the website under the search term "a chat".
- S3E4: Shere Tuckey talked about Crucial Conversations and some of the mindsets we can take on to better communicate with others when things might get tricky.
- S3E5: Sol Rosenbaum and I talk about engineering with reciprocity, ideas of how to approach collaboration with other engineers on a team or in the workplace.
Where do you meet-up?
I have a friend who has made it a goal this year to attend at least 4 events per month.
When I think of 4 events to go to within a month, I get a little stuck of where to go! I'm not a homebody. I volunteer and organize field trips for teens.
Yes, there are some local chapters of professional societies I should follow-up on, and I will. But the ones I'm thinking of right now will not get me to 4 events every month!
I NEED YOUR IDEAS If you wanted to attend 4 events related to your work this month, what would they be? These events can be tangentially related to work, and they can be virtual or in-person.
